Real-Time Clock
I doubt I'm alone here, but I often lose track of time playing GW. Sometimes there isn't a physical clock in sight and I don't want to leave my seat, and sometimes it's not feasible to minimize the game to check the desktop clock. Anet certainly seems to care about healthy gaming habits, what with the hourly notice. A toggleable clock would really not hurt. A little HH:MM you can stick in a corner.
It just needs the following settings:
- Timezone
- 12h/24h

Actually, this is so minor that I'm gonna just go neutral on it. :P Personally, I won't use it if it's implemented, but as long as a lame unmovable blinky clock isn't taking up even more of my screen's real estate, I'm not fussed.

Would wearing a watch or placing a small clock on your desk not be a simpler solution to this than asking for a game update that affects everyone?

Why not have a clock which is set to your time zone when you first load the game or go into the options. If im in New Zealand (woho) and its 10:00pm, the game around me should go darker. This is a cosmetic feature which justs makes your screen dark and light depending on what time of day it is.
Also if i had a friend in England it would be 10:00am for him and it would be day time in the game
So what im saying is:
The clock determines what the type of day it is and it only you would have your current time set to your game preferences.

Day/Night cycles don't really appeal to me however a weather system would
But to answer this thread i believe wearing a watch or placing a clock on your desk is easier than having the team code a clock into the game

I don't know what you're all fussing about, coding a clock is as simple as checking the ticks on your OS and displaying it in proper format, even with timezone settings it shouldn't take much longer. And for those who don't like it, you can turn any part of the UI off in the settings anyway. I for one would very much like to see this feature as I don't have any clocks or wrist watches and even if I did, it's too dark in this room to check it and sometimes you just don't have the time to minimize.

Just put an option in f11 to disable it, so all the "my screen is already full!!" cant complain.

Put a little icon on the edge of the Radar that when you mouse over a small window pops up with the local time.

I don't see why not. Do people really hate options that much these days?

I dont know about you all, but all i would use a clock for is GW events and Guild events like GvG...."We will be having a GvG @ 16:00" Yes, have it military time...and have the same for ALL servers, Japan, Europe, US, etc. I know what time it is where i live. The clock just needs to be for GW stuff....

IMO doesn't even need the timezone.
Just put the client's local time as part of the -perf display or as part of the popup from the green/yellow/red dot will do.

I have a LED clock beside my computer due to playing later then expected. Some time clock or an alarm option would be advantageous.

if you must have it, I'll signed only if i can turn it off, beside i am playing in full screen and still can see my clock, DUH! adjust the window yourself lol its so easy and if you are playing in windows instead of full screen the resolutions is better, (for me at least).

Have people honestly gotten so lazy that they can't, heaven forbid, get out of a chair for a minute to find a clock elsewhere to look at the time?
